The year 2017 At SC State
A Web-based slideshow is a slide show which can be played using a web browser. Some web based slide shows are generated from presentation software and may be difficult to change Others offer templates allowing the slide show to be easily edited and changed. Compared to a fully fledged presentation program the web based slide shows are usually limited in features. A web-based slide show is typically generated to or authored in HTMLJavaScript and CSS code. Kizoa edits and creates slideshows that you can share online or download to your computer. Like other online services, you do have some limitations, however the creative process is quite easy and friendly in spite of being an online service. Its very similar as in to Microsoft Power Point and Prezi but it has way more features to off with its enhanced animation tools and its numerous ideas for transitions. Here is my slide show I made for class "The Year 2017 At SC State"  which recaps the year of 2017 here at SCSU  if not able to view the slide show on this page you can view it by clicking the linked to the logo below....

Pinterest is like an online pinboard—mostly for collecting visual pieces of multimedia (mostly images) But before you jump on board with everyone else, you should first understand what Pinterest is all about.
You can create as many boards for your pins as you want, which is great for organization. For example, if you like collecting pictures of zoo animals, you can create a board and label it “Animals.” On the other hand, if you also like collecting recipes, you can create another board and label it “Recipes.”
Pinterest users interact with each other through liking, commenting, and repinning each other’s stuff. That’s what makes it such a hot social network.
The site was founded by Ben SilbermannPaul Sciarra and Evan Sharp. Pinterest CEO Ben Silbermann summarized the company as a "catalogue of ideas" that inspires users to "go out and do that thing", rather than as an image-based social network.
On my Pintrest board I pen Tattoos, Men's Style, and Humor. the Tattoo board is full of all different styles and body selection from different artistes, even some scratch art work.
Men's Style is consist of  pictures of  outfits put together by diffrent male clothing styles from the hottes old and new age styles.

Five Common Lighting Techniques

In Advanced TV Production/Editing we are learning the proper way of setting up the five common lighting techniques and understand the proper use for them.

1. Flat Frontal Lighting- Flat lighting faces directly into the subject from the angle of the lens. Flat lighting is the least dramatic lighting pattern because it casts the least amount of shadows on the subject’s face.
Procedures: Place your key in front of the subject in the same direction where you will be shooting. Angle the light so it lays “flat” on the face. This makes it a very flattering light for portraits because it decreases wrinkles and imperfections. Also, when using flat light, remember to light from slightly above the subject’s face. Lighting from below will create an unnatural and unflattering look.

2. 90 Degree or Split lighting- occurs when the key light illuminates only half the face. It is an ideal slimming light. It can be used to narrow a wide face or nose. It can also be used with a weak fill to hide facial irregularities. For a highly dramatic effect, split lighting can be used with no fill.

Procedures: In split lighting, the key light is moved farther to the side of the subject and lower than in other setups. In some cases, the key light is actually slightly behind the subject, depending on how far the subject is turned from the camera. The fill light, hair light, and background light are used normally for split lighting.

3. Butterfly Lighting (or Paramount Lighting)- comes directly in front and above the subject’s face. This creates shadows that are directly below the subject’s facial features. The most notable shadow, and where this lighting pattern gets its name, is a butterfly shaped shadow just under the nose. It is also called “Paramount Lighting” because this lighting pattern was used heavily in the Paramount movie studio of old Hollywood.
Procedures: Start the key light in the flat light pattern, then raise the light up until you see the “butterfly” shaped shadow under your subject’s nose. Angle the face of your light so it points at your subject. The only difference between flat lighting and butterfly lighting is the height and angle of the Key Light. This creates the same flattering features as flat lighting but includes shadows underneath the nose and chin.

4. Rembrandt lighting- Rembrandt is a stronger angle than loop lighting, making it look more dramatic. The more shadow we add to our subject and the more we turn our light away from flat lighting the more dramatic our lighting becomes. It is used heavily in all types of portrait photography including athletes.

Procedures: move your key light around the subject until the shadow of the nose is touching the shadow of the face. This primarily leaves one side of the face in shadow but keeps a triangle of light on the cheekbone and eye.

5. Scary Face Lighting- This creates mystery, tension, and suspense, because though you can see some of what's on screen, you can't see all of it. Your eye is trying to fill in the gaps of what it's missing and usually what you fill them in with is much scarier than what's actually there.

Procedures: Placing the key light under the subjects chin and nose creating a shadow on the subjects face

3 Point Lighting

In Advanced TV Production/Editing we are conducting and learning the skills of using the three- point lighting method for an indoor interview, including Key light, Side/Fill light, and Back/hair light. The first picture above is a photo of none of the light being used. Which makes the set look dark and unpleasing.

In the second photo is conducting the Key Light which is positioned behind the interview's shoulder opposite the camera, to illuminate the subject's face.

In the third photo is instructing the Side/Fill light, this light fills in the shadows created by the key light so the light is even across the subject's face.

In the fourth photo i conduct the Back/Hair light when using this light it will illuminate the space behind the subject's head so he or she stands out from the background.

And finally in the last photo when you put all three lighting sources into play you receive a great Three Point lighting for a interview set.

Or watch and instruction video on YouTube "How To Set Up 3-Point Lighting for Film, Video and Photography"

In Advanced TV Production/Editing we are conducting and learning the skills of using the proper lighting for outside activities using the reflector. In the first picture to the left is a photo that has been taken with out using the reflector. which makes the picture dhul and dark. The picture on the right is a photo with the reflector which enhanced the picture and made it brighter. The photo below is a map out of the proper set up when using the reflector.
